Critical illness
If you are affected by critical illness, you will be paid a tax-free lump sum. This can give you some financial space to allow you to concentrate on getting well. Your can spend the funds, e.g., on treatment, travel, or other things.
How to use your insurance:
- Download an application.
- Fill in the application and submit it to AP Pension, Østbanegade 135, DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø. You can also scan the application and send it to skade@appension.dk
When we have received and assessed the application, we shall seek documentation from a relevant healthcare professional. If you are entitled to payment, we shall deposit the funds to you NemKonto as soon as we received the required documentation.
Loss of earning capacity
With cover for loss of earning capacity, you are secured an income if you lose your ability to work due to long-term illness or accident. Your earning capacity must be reduced by at least half in order for you to receive compensation.
How to use your insurance in the event of loss of earning capacity:
- Download an application and physician’s declaration. You have to fill in the application while your own general practitioner has to fill in the physician’s declaration. We will pay for the physician’s declaration if the general practitioner includes an invoice.
- Submit both the application and physician’s declaration to AP Pension, Østbanegade 135, DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø. You can also scan the documents and send them to skade@appension.dk
When we have received and assessed all the required information, we will contact you to let you know if you are entitled to payment and if so for how long. We shall deposit the funds in your NemKonto if you are entitled to payment. You will be liable for tax on the payments if your contributions have been deductible.
